About CPL Training

To obtain a CPL in India, a person must complete a rigorous training program that includes a minimum number of 200 flight hours, pass a series of written and practical exams, and meet various other requirements related to experience, medical fitness, and training. The training program consists of obtaining a Student Pilot License (SPL), followed by a Private Pilot License (PPL), and then the CPL. Once a pilot obtains a CPL in India, they can pursue a career as a professional pilot and work for airlines, cargo operators, charter companies, or other commercial aviation organizations. They may also choose to work as a flight instructor or pursue other aviation-related careers.

AIR NAVIGATIONS

AIR METEOROLOGY

This subject deals with the science concerned
with the process of weather buildup in the
atmosphere. After all, safety is of prime concern
for every pilot & what better way to know
about all the beauty as well as dangerous
activities happening in the atmosphere?

AIR REGULATIONS

This subject deals with the
standardization procedures, laws and
conventions relating to Aviation industry
– ICAO documents and Regulation
– Aircraft Rules and Regulation
– AIC
– AIP
– ATC Flight Plan

RADIO TELEPHONY

With ever-increasing air traffic covering our
skies, the need for skilled RT operators is on
the rise. With CPL one needs an Indian Radio
Telephony Course to get the job. We make it

curriculum and experience.

TECHNICAL

Technical covers all parameters that make an aircraft what it is. From thrust-producing jet engines to propeller[1]powered piston engines, it is important to know-how about these power-producing machines. The sub-subjects
covered are Technical Principles of flight, Engines, Electrical systems, hydraulics, Aircraft system,
Aerodynamics, Aircraft Instruments, etc.

 

 

Mandatory Requirements for Pursuing Commercial Pilot License Training

 


Educational Qualification

 

The candidate should have completed 10+2 or equivalent with Mathematics and Physics as compulsory subjects from a recognized board.

Age

The minimum age requirement for a CPL is 18 years. However, most flight training schools require a candidate to be at least 17 years old before they can start flight training.

 

Flight Training

The candidate must complete a minimum of 200 hours of flight training, which includes at least 100 hours of solo flying, 20 hours of cross-country flying, and 10 hours of instrument flying. The flight training is conducted at a DGCA-approved flying school, which has qualified instructors, adequate infrastructure, and appropriate aircraft.

 

Ground Training

The candidate must complete ground training, which covers topics such as Air Navigation, Aviation Meteorology, Air Regulations, and Technical subjects. Airline Prep School has imparted professional ground training to 1000+ students since its inception.

 

Written Examination

The candidate must pass the written examinations conducted by DGCA on the topics covered in ground training. The examination consists of multiple-choice questions and is conducted at designated centers.

 

Flight Training

The candidate should undergo flying training from DGCA approved FTO in India or abroad with all flight tests cleared to successfully proceed for application for a CPL. DGCA then reviews the application and issues the CPL if the candidate meets all the requirements.
